Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Leave Royal Life Behind

731views

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle officially step down as senior members of the royal family on 31 March 2020. On 1 April 2020, the couple will start their non-royal life and open a completely new chapter.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will spend the next few months focusing on their family and continuing to do what they can, safely and privately, to support and work with their pre-existing charitable commitments while developing their future non-profit organization,” says the spokesperson for Harry and Meghan.

Starting tomorrow, Harry and Meghan will lose their royal titles as His/Her Royal Highness, although they are still allowed to be titled “Duke of Sussex” and “Duchess of Sussex.” They will also become financially independent with no financial support from the Crown. They will relinquish their royal duties and will no longer represent the Queen.

The couple will also close their official Instagram account, a.k.a. Sussex Royal, as they are no longer allowed to use “Royal” for their non-profit organization, website or even Instagram account.

Even though Harry and Meghan are leaving “the firm,” they are still part of this family and are always welcomed there. Harry’s place in the line of succession is also not affected by the couple’s departure.

We wish them all the best on their new path of life.
