“Heroes” and “Scream” Star Hayden Panettiere Dead At 36

Hayden Panettiere, the former child star who became a household name through “Heroes” and “Nashville,” has died at 36. Her death was confirmed by her representative on August 17. Panettiere was found unresponsive at a residence in Greenville, S.C., on August 16 after an acquaintance called 911. Emergency responders attempted to revive her, and she was pronounced dead at 2:32 p.m. The Greenville County Coroner’s Office later said an autopsy found no signs of trauma. Her cause and manner of death remain under investigation.
