As announced by Warner Bros. at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, the first trailer for the blockbuster ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ was revealed! It was confirmed that the film will be set in Arkham Asylum and will focus on the romantic relationship between Arthur Fleck and Harleen Quinzel. The preview also showcases numerous musical scenes, and in one of the dialogues, we hear that music is intended to be a part of Joker’s therapy.
‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ is a direct sequel to the 2019 film Joker, which was both a box office success and critically acclaimed. The first installment grossed over $1 billion worldwide and earned Joaquin Phoenix an Academy Award for Best Actor at the 2022 Oscars. The DC comics adaptation, although not part of any cinematic universe, also won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival.
‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ is set to hit theaters on October 4, 2024.
