Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga’s “Joker: Folie à Deux” Bombs at the Box Office

No one’s smiling now. After last week’s disastrous opening weekend, Joker: Folie à Deux has sunk to a new low after recording a staggering 82% drop at the box office. During the weekend, the Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga-starrer made just $7.5 million versus last week’s already paltry $37.6 million. The film has a $200 million price tag before marketing and would need at least $450 million to break even. That’s not going to happen now.
