After the long leave of absence from the music industry, Jesse McCartney returned with a brand new single “Yours” on 10 April (Friday).
The singer describes the track as his full life summed up in a pop song. “Yours” offers an introspective look into several stages of Jesse’s life, including his superstardom days and his current relationship with girlfriend Katie Peterson.
“It sort of sums up my life in a pop song. What it’s been like, and all these different roles I’ve played for so many people – ultimately coming to the conclusion that my new favorite role is to be somebody’s very special person, and how important that is for me as well,” says the singer about “Yours.”
Jesse is working on new music which may be released later this year. The songs are currently being mastered and mixed. However, it is still not known whether the singer will release an EP or a full album.
