Christina Aguilera Takes Wembley by Storm!

Christina Aguilera returned to the UK after 13 years and – Fighters – it was absolutely worth the wait! Both concerts at the Wembley Arena (London) on 9 and 10 November (Saturday and Sunday) were sold out, and fans (me among them!) were treated to a spectacular performance. Not only did we got the chance to admire Christina’s amazing vocals, but also we observed the one and only show (full of costume changes, dancing and several surprises from the singer herself).

The show on 10 November (Sunday) started with “Bionic” and was quickly followed by “Your Body.” However, it was “Genie in a Bottle” (performed third) which really started the amazing spectacle. Just before Christina sang “The Voice Within” (performed fourth), she had told us to listen to our inner voice and believe in ourselves. It was a really empowering speech to begin a concert with.

The concert was divided into several sets and the singer performed 23 songs. Christina sang songs from her latest album “Liberation” (“Maria,” “Sick of Sittin’” and “Accelerate”) and some older hits, including “Beautiful,” “Fighter,” “Dirrty,” “Genie in a Bottle,” “Lady Marmalade,” “Say Something,” “What a Girl Wants” and “Can’t Hold Us Down.”

Christina was joined by her 5-year-old daughter Summer Rain for the last song of the night – “Let There Be Love” and it was an amazing moment for everybody. The singer was singing the song and holding her 5-year-old daughter Summer Rain to say farewell to the fans.

I have been to several concerts of A-List stars (including Britney Spears, Enrique Iglesias and the Backstreet Boys), but this has absolutely been the best! Christina will perform on 14 November in Birmingham (the UK), 3 December in Monterrey (Mexico) and 7 December in Mexico City (Mexico). If you live nearby, make sure to purchase tickets for the shows as they are absolutely worth it!
