Zac Efron contracted life-threatening bacteria just before Christmas. The actor got infected while filming his new reality show “Killing Zac Efron” in Papua New Guinea.

According to the reports, Zac was flown by helicopter to Brisbane (Australia) for treatment. He spent several days in hospital. Zac was finally released just before Christmas and flew to the United States to spend this year’s holidays at home with his friends and family.

Zac is said to have contracted typhoid. The typhoid fever is transmitted by contaminated food and water.

After the scary experience, Zac Efron took to his social media to talk to fans.

“Killing Zac Efron” is set to be released in April 2020 by short content platform Quibi.
