Actors are the most versatile people of all. They can play any role and represent any character. There are many good actors who have done many great roles over the years, but this list will focus on five of them:
1. Johnny Depp
Johnny Depp is regarded as one of Hollywood’s most gifted actors. He’s been in countless films, from blockbusters like “Pirates of the Caribbean” to indie favorites like “Donnie Brasco.” Yet he’s best known for playing Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean. If you’re into the captain cooks casino, pirates and adventure, then this film is for you!
Depp has won numerous awards and been nominated for even more, including an Oscar nomination for his role as Glen Ellyn Harry in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape? (1993).
2. Leonardo DiCaprio
Leonardo DiCaprio is an actor whose career began in the early 1990s. He has been nominated for many awards, including Oscars, Golden Globes, and BAFTAs. He has also won several of these prestigious honors: two Academy Awards (for Best Actor), two BAFTAs (Best Actor), one Golden Globe (Best Actor), and one Emmy Award (Outstanding Supporting Actor).

3. Tom Hanks
Tom Hanks is a great actor, and he’s been nominated for an Oscar several times. In 1993, he was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role for Philadelphia, and again in 1994 when he played Forrest Gump. He also starred in Saving Private Ryan (1998), which won him his first Academy Award.
Hanks has had many other big roles over the years, including Cast Away (2000), The Da Vinci Code (2006), Cloud Atlas (2012), and Bridge of Spies (2015).
4. Morgan Freeman
Morgan Freeman is an excellent character actor because he can play both villains and good guys very well. In Batman Begins (2005), he plays Lucius Fox–a helpful scientist who helps Bruce Wayne become Batman by creating gadgets for him to use against crime. In The Dark Knight Rises (2012), however, Morgan plays Ra’s al Ghul–a terrorist leader who wants to destroy Gotham City with his army of ninjas!
5. Samuel L. Jackson
Samuel L. Jackson is one of the greatest actors of all time. He’s been in a ton of movies and played a lot of roles, but he also has some very good ones under his belt. Some may even argue that he is one of the best actors ever!
Samuel L. Jackson’s best role was in Pulp Fiction as Jules Winnfield (a name that we all know). In this movie, he plays a man who helps out Vincent Vega (John Travolta) and his partner Marsellus Wallace (Ving Rhames) when they get into trouble with some gangsters who want their cocaine back from them after they stole it from them earlier on in the film.
Surely this list is not exhaustive. There are so many amazing male actors out there. But if you were looking for something new to watch, then this list is a great start.
