“The 100” is finishing its run with the seventh season, however, this will not be the end of these popular television series. The CW has just ordered a pilot for the spin-off series!
The pilot for the prequel series is already in the works. The action will take place 97 years before the events of the original television series. According to Deadline, the pilot would act as a backdoor and would air as a regular episode during the show’s final season.
“The 100” tells a story of one hundred juvenile delinquents sent to Earth to check whether the planet is habitable again after a nuclear war 97 years prior. The sixth season ends with the characters finding a new planet to live (Planet Alpha) and facing the anomaly.
The final season of “The 100” will air in 2020.
