The first promotional video to Taylor Swift’s movie, “Cats,” has just been released. The featurette contains behind-the-scenes moments with the stars of the film – Taylor Swift, Judy Dench, Idris Elba, Jason Derulo, Rebel Wilson and Jennifer Hudson. They explore the set and talk about their love for theatrical things.
“My first memories of performance go back to when I was in Pennsylvania growing up. My favorite thing was getting to be theatrical, to tell a story and I’ve always brought that narrative element to my live shows,” says Taylor.
Taylor Swift portrays Bombalurina, a flirtatious cat.
“Cats” will be released on 20 December 2019. It tells the story of a tribe of cats (the Jellicles) which must select the one that will ascend to the Heaviside Layer and return to a new Jellicle life.
The official trailer will premiere on Friday (19 July).
