The cast of James Gunn’s upcoming superhero film just got a new addition from a familiar face. As announced by Deadline, Sara Sampaio (At Midnight) will join the ensemble cast of Superman: Legacy.
Reportedly, she’ll be taking on the role of Eve Teschmacher. This character made her debut in the 1978 Superman film and the JLA: Earth-2 comics.
Eve Teschmacher serves as Lex Luthor’s assistant, who also becomes an object of his affections. In previous cinematic renditions, Valerie Perrine portrayed her, while in the Supergirl series, the role was played by Andrea Brooks.
Recent reports also hinted at Nicholas Hoult stepping into the role of Lex Luthor. This sets the stage for an intriguingly villainous duo.
James Gunn directs Superman: Legacy. David Corenswet leads the film, and joining him on the big screen will be Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner / Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, María Gabriela De Faría as Engineer, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, and Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher.
