After the sudden and unexpected departure of Ruby Rose, her place as Batwoman has been taken by Javicia Leslie. Javicia will play a completely new character, Ryan Wilder, who will eventually step in as Batwoman.
Ryan Wilder is described as a likeable, goofy and untamed character. She spent years as drug-runner and successfully dodged the Gotham City police. She is full of pain, but she masks it with bad habits.
The actress has recently unveiled her new look in Batsuit for the first time. The image was published on Instagram and Javicia was suited up in cape and cowl.
“Look out, Gotham. I’m suited up and ready to go. But just wait until Ryan Wilder puts her own spin on the Batsuit,” posts Javicia.
The second season of “Batwoman” will premiere on The CW in January 2021.
