The first image of the actor portraying the main role in the biographical film about Michael Jackson has been released online.
Titled “Michael,” the film is an actor’s biography of Michael Jackson. Production began in the middle of the previous year but was interrupted due to a writers’ and actors’ strike. The cast and crew returned to the set at the end of January. Now, the first image featuring Jaafar Jackson, the nephew of the King of Pop, who plays the iconic singer, has been revealed.
The photo showcases Jaafar Jackson in full makeup, recreating the iconic look of his uncle while performing the song “Man in the Mirror” from the Dangerous Tour, which took place in 1992-1993.
The film aims to present viewers with a fascinating and honest portrait of Michael Jackson, depicting him not only as a great artist but also as a complex individual. The production will explore both his triumphs and tragedies, delving into his human side, personal struggles, and creative genius that brought forth many hits still cherished today.
Directed by Antoine Fuqua, the cast includes Jaafar Jackson, Colman Domingo (Joe Jackson), Nia Long (Katherine Jackson), Juliano Krue Valdi (young Michael Jackson), and Miles Teller (lawyer John Branca).
“Michael” is set to debut in theaters on April 18, 2025.
