Camila Cabello took the world by surprise in her recent interview for the Sirius XM show. The singer revealed that Ariana Grande’s “God Is a Woman” was originally meant for her, not Ariana!

The demo with Camila singing the chorus to the song was leaked last year and many were left wondering what was going on.

Camila Cabello explained to Andy Cohen that she had worked on “God Is a Woman,” but it did not just feel right for her. As a result, the singer passed on the song.

“I think they had a chorus for the song and then I wrote verses to it. It didn’t end up sounding right for me,” says Camila. “So then Ariana and everybody wrote to her version and it sounded amazing!”

“God Is a Woman” was eventually picked up by Ariana Grande for her “Sweetener” album. Ariana turned it into an iconic song and one of the biggest hits in her career.
