“Shazam 2” to Premiere in 2022

“Shazam 2,” a sequel to “Shazam,” will hit the theatres on 1 April 2022. There is little known about the sequel now, but it has been confirmed that Zachary Levi will reprise his role as Shazam. Also confirmed: Asher Angel as Billy Batson.

Plot details and further casting announcements have not been yet revealed.

The original “Shazam” movie was released on 4 April 2019 and grossed $364 million worldwide (with $140 million in the United States alone).

It tells the story of a young boy from a foster family who searches for his mother. However, instead of finding his mother, he comes across super powers and a powerful enemy.
