On June 28th, the science fiction horror film “A Quiet Place: Day One,” a prequel to the successful “A Quiet Place” series directed by John Krasinski, will hit the big screens. Paramount Pictures has just released the trailer for the film, starring Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn in lead roles.
“A Quiet Place: Day One” marks the first spin-off and simultaneously serves as a prequel to the “A Quiet Place” series, which began in 2018. The story is set on Earth, overrun by mysterious and ruthless creatures that react to even the slightest sound. This time, we’ll get to know a new pair of protagonists portrayed by Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn. Both will have to confront the monsters during the initial days of the apocalypse when no one yet understands the nature of the threat. Adding to the challenge is the fact that both characters find themselves in New York, one of the loudest cities in the world.
While the narrative unfolds in the familiar world from the previous two parts, it doesn’t revolve around the Abbott family this time. The central character is played by Lupita Nyong’o, who attempts to survive the first moments of the alien invasion while being in the noisiest city on Earth, New York. It’s important to note that sound is crucial in dealing with these monsters in this universe, but on the first day, nobody among the humans is aware of this.
