Kenny Rogers Passes Away at 81

Kenny Rogers passed away at the age of 81 on 20 March 2020 (Friday). He died at his home in Sandy Springs, Georgia, due to natural causes. Kenny was under hospice care. Due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, the family is planning to do a small private service. The public memorial will take place at a later date.

Kenny is mourned by fellow musicians and celebrities on social media, who describe him as a talented musician and a long-time friend.

“Today I lost one of my closest friends So much laughter so many adventures to remember, my heart is broken… My prayers go out to Kenny’s Family,” tweets Lionel Richie.

“You never know how much you love somebody until they’re gone. I’ve had so many wonderful years and wonderful times with my friend Kenny, but above all the music and the success I loved him as a wonderful man and a true friend,” tweets Dolly Parton.

Kenny Rogers was a distinguished singer, songwriter, record producer, actor and entrepreneur. In the course of his career, he was awarded with multiple accolades, including Grammy Awards , American Music Awards and Academy of Country Music Awards.
