352views

Inspired by real events, this fictional dramatisation tells the story of Queen Elizabeth II and the political and personal events that shaped her reign.

The final series of “The Crown” has been divided into two parts. The first part will be available on Netflix on November 16, with the second part being released to viewers on December 14.

During their first summer as a divorced couple, Prince Charles and Princess Diana spend completely different holidays with their sons. Diana is invited by the Fayed family to the south of France, giving the young princes a taste of luxury yachts, video games, and movie nights. Meanwhile, Charles adheres to tradition at Balmoral. Comparisons between these two different worlds make their way into the press, fueled by fervent paparazzi and some members of the royal press team.

As life on the yacht and constant media scrutiny lose their appeal, Diana longs to see her boys, who have returned to Balmoral. During a trip to Paris, matters take a tragic turn due to increased and aggressive media pursuit. Following the announcement of Diana and Dodi’s fatal car accident, an enormous wave of public grief surprises the Queen. The shockwave ripples through the Palace, and Al Fayed also experiences the loss of his beloved son. He hopes that their shared mourning will bring him closer to the royal family, but instead, he feels increasingly rejected.

The cast of the final season includes Imelda Staunton (Queen Elizabeth II), Jonathan Pryce (Prince Philip), Lesley Manville (Princess Margaret), Dominic West (Prince Charles), Elizabeth Debicki (Princess Diana), Claudia Harrison (Princess Anne), and Olivia Williams (Camilla Parker Bowles).
