Taylor Swift released her seventh studio album “Lover” on 23 August 2019. Despite the enormous commercial success of the album, the singer will not be doing the full tour for “Lover.”

In a recent interview with Variety, Taylor revealed the good reason for it. Her mom, Andrea, has been battling cancer for quite some time now, but she has been recently diagnosed with brain tumor and Taylor would like to spend more time with her.

“While she was going through treatment, they found a brain tumor. And the symptoms of what a person goes through when they have a brain tumor is nothing like what we’ve ever been through with her cancer before. So it’s just been a really hard time for us as a family,” admits Taylor.

The singer openly sang about her mom’s battle with cancer on “Soon You’ll Get Better,” which is one of the tracks featured on “Lover.”

“Lover Fest,” which is the name of Taylor’s upcoming tour, will comprise of 16 shows. The singer will give four concerts in the United States, one in Brazil and ten in Europe. The tour will kick off on 20 June 2020 in Werchter (Belgium) and conclude on 1 August 2020 in Foxborough (United States).
