2020 Billboard Music Awards took place on 14 October (Wednesday) at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The ceremony was hosted by Kelly Clarkson and due to the coronavirus pandemic, there was no audience during the event.

“One World: Together at Home,” a special music event co-organized by Lady Gaga on 18 April (Saturday), was watched by 20.7 million viewers in the United States alone. The star-studded virtual concert was organized by Global Citizen and the World Health Organization to raise funds to combat the on-going coronavirus pandemic.

2020 Grammy Awards took place on 26 January (Sunday) in Los Angeles and the ceremony was clouded by the sudden death of Kobe Bryant. To honour the late basketball player, artists paid tribute to Kobe and honoured him with their music.

The official nominations to the 2020 Grammy Awards were announced on 20 November (Wednesday). Prior to the announcement, there were some leaks at the official Grammy Awards website indicating who would be considered for upcoming awards… And they turned out to be true!

As a surprise to her fans, Lizzo has released the official music video for her song "Tempo" featuring Missy Eliott. The video was directed by Andy Hines and produced by Nic Neary.
