Olivia Rodrigo Is Coming to Australia

386views

JUST ONE WEEK ahead of the release of her highly anticipated sophomore album, GUTS, Olivia Rodrigo has announced that she’ll be coming to Australia — and she’ll be here much sooner than you might think.

The Grammy-winning American singer-songwriter is heading to Australia to promote her new album, and it’s safe to say she’ll receive a warm welcome. “Vampire,” the lead single from her new album GUTS, debuted at #1 on the ARIA singles chart when it was released, making Rodrigo the first international artist to see her lead singles from both of her records achieve such a feat (after “driver’s licence” achieved the same success back in 2021).

Read on for all the details about Rodrigo’s trip Down Under, including whether or not there’ll be any performances (or even a tour) featuring on the schedule.

According to Universal Music Group, Rodrigo will be touching down in Australia on September 22, just one fortnight after GUTS is released on September 8.

As far as we know, Rodrigo doesn’t have any public performances scheduled during her September 2023 Australian visit — but fans might still have an opportunity to see her up close and personal. Aside from the interviews she’s visiting for, Rodrigo will be hosting an exclusive fan Q&A on September 22. For the opportunity to score a seat at the Q&A, fans have to pre-order GUTS from Rodrigo’s Australian store here, upload proof of purchase, and follow the prompts. One lucky winner will score an opportunity to meet Rodrigo, while runners-up will win a double-pass to the exclusive event.

As far as we know, Rodrigo doesn’t yet have plans for a tour of Australia — it seems like she’ll only be hitting Sydney for this visit. But that’s not to say that a tour is out of the question in future, especially after her second album is released. Ticketek even has a waitlist page where you can register to be notified if an Australian tour is announced, and if we hear any news, you’d best believe we’ll be letting you know ASAP.
