Netflix reveals first teaser trailer for Rapman’s ‘Supacell’ Super Powers Series

Netflix has released a trailer for a thriller directed by Rapman. The series will be titled “Supacell” and is set to premiere on the streaming platform in June 2024.

“Supacell” will be another production by the rapper, writer, and filmmaker known as Andrew Onwubolu to a wider audience as Rapman. The creator has previously worked on projects such as “Blue Story” and several short films. The screenplay for the upcoming Netflix series will be written by Rapman himself, and the episodes will also be directed by Sebastian Thiel (“Dreaming Whilst Black”). The production is overseen by Joanna Crow, Mark Hedges, Anna Ferguson, Steve Searle, and Mouktar Mohammed.

Netflix’s “Supacell” tells the story of a group of five ordinary people who unexpectedly gain supernatural powers. They have little in common except one thing – they are black residents of South London. The responsibility falls on one of them, Michael Lasaki (Tosin Cole), to gather all the other superpower holders so he can save the woman he loves.
