He rose to prominence playing in “Sid and Nancy,” “Prick Up Your Ears,” “The Firm” and “Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead.” He also starred in “State of Grace,” “The Fifth Element,” “Air Force One,” “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” and “Darkest Hour.” He is the recipient of one Academy Award, three BAFTA Awards, one Golden Globe Award and one Screen Actors Guild Award. Gary is currently married to Gisele Schmidt.
