Jamie Lynn Spears Speaks Her Truth

2.2kviews

Jamie Lynn Spears will release her first memoir “Things I Should Have Said” on 18 January (Tuesday). To promote her book, Jamie has been doing TV interviews. In “Good Morning America,” the actress opened up about her life, family dynamics and relationship with her older sister Britney.

“It was really important to me to, first off, honor my voice. I have to do it or how else can I expect my daughters to stand up for themselves,” said Jamie about her motivation to write a book.

During the exclusive interview, Jamie also discussed Britney’s conservatorship and its termination in November 2021.

“I was happy. I was. When it was put into place I was 17 years old. I was about to have a baby, so I didn’t understand what was happening. Nor was I focused on that. I was focused on the fact that I was a 17-year-old about to have a baby. I understand just as little about it then as I do now,” admitted Jamie.

Even though Britney has recently cut off her family and even unfollowed Jamie on Instagram, the actress claims that she still loves her big sister.

“I’ve always been my sister’s biggest supporter. So when she needed help, I set up ways to do so. Went out of my way to make sure that she had the contacts she needed to possibly go ahead and end this conservatorship and just end this all for our family. If it’s going to cause this much discord, why continue it,” said Jamie. “That love is still there. 100 percent. I love my sister. I’ve only ever loved and supported her and done what’s right by her, and she knows that, so I don’t know why we’re in this position right now.”
