895views

Greta Thunberg scored a nomination for the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize. The young climate activist was nominated for this recognition in 2019 for the first time.

Greta was nominated by two Swedish lawmakers who appreciated the fact that she “has worked hard to make politicians open their eyes to the climate crisis” and said that “the action for reducing our emissions and complying with the Paris Agreement is therefore also an act of making peace.”

17-year-old Greta is known for the fight against climate changes. She frequently takes a stand in public and urges the politicians to address the current climate crisis.

Nobel Peace Prize winners will be announced in the autumn.
