“Girls Aloud” Announce Comeback!

The famous Girls Aloud band is planning a grand comeback. The group, which disbanded ten years ago, now has reasons to perform together again. The passing of one of the members brought the remaining members much closer.

The group was formed in 2002 during the reality show “Popstars: The Rivals.” The final lineup included Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts, and Kimberley Walsh.

Girls Aloud released five studio albums (the last one, “Out of Control,” came out in 2008), all of which proved to be bestsellers in the UK (their albums were repeatedly certified platinum in the UK – selling over four million copies in total).

The band officially ceased to operate in 2013 (reactivating in 2012 after a three-year hiatus, but members eventually went their separate ways after one concert tour). Harding also tried her hand at a solo career. She released an EP called “Threads” in 2015 and won the “Celebrity Big Brother” program in 2017.

On March 24, 2021, her last song “Wear It Like a Crown” was released online, recorded ten years earlier. Sarah Harding, who had battled breast cancer for a long time, decided to donate the proceeds from this song to charity. She passed away on September 5, 2021.

The group reunited after her death to perform a charity concert. Later, the members revealed that they raised over a million pounds for breast cancer charities during 2022.

As reported by British media, the group’s vocalists will soon pay tribute to their late colleague with a new song. The first composition in 11 years is reportedly ready, and work on the music video is currently underway. The song will feature all the surviving members of the group.

Paparazzi caught the vocalists entering one of the recording studios in London. They reportedly valued discretion, wearing sunglasses and covering their faces with hats and hoods.

The premiere song from the group, which officially disbanded in 2013, is not the only thing happening. The Girls Aloud members are reportedly planning a new album and a concert tour across the UK in 2024.

“It was one of the best-kept secrets, but now it’s happening. The girls really came back together as friends after Sarah’s death, which fixed some of the old issues and allowed them to look at things from a different perspective,” says an insider from “The Sun.”
