Dove Cameron got herself a brand new tattoo on her arm (near her wrist). She is now sporting a pistol with a flower coming out of it.
Dove was recently interviewed by the Vogue’s 24 Hours series, where the explained the double meaning behind the tattoo.
The new tattoo symbolizes Dove’s anti-gun attitude and her drive towards a pro-gun regulation. The pistol with a flower is also dedicated to late Cameron Boyce and honours him. According to Dove, the anti-gun movement was also close to Cameron’s heart.
“It’s sort of like a nationally recognized symbol for peace and for anti-gun movements. And also, my friend Cameron passed away a few months ago and he was starting this organization called Wielding Peace,” says Dove.
Cameron Boyce passed away on 6 July 2019 due to the complications of epilepsy. He was just 20 years old at the time.
