Colin Farrell returns as The Penguin in first teaser trailer for The Batman spinoff series | Max

‘The Batman Part II’ may be delayed until 2026, but we are set to return to Matt Reeves’ Gotham City this fall in the spin-off series The Penguin.

Colin Farrell returns to his role as Oswald ‘Oz’ Cobblepot/The Penguin as he attempts to fill the power vacuum and take control of Gotham’s criminal underworld.

The story takes place right after the events of the Batman movie. After the death of gangster Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), there is a void in the power ranks of the criminal world in Gotham. The Penguin wants to take the lead and rule the city, but he has competition in the form of Sofia Falcone, the daughter of the deceased gangster, who will be his enemy and antagonist. Cristin Milioti plays this role.

Matt Reeves, Dylan Clark Farrell, and Lauren LeFranc are the executive producers.

The Penguin – the series will debut in the fall of 2024. The project will be available on the Max platform.
