The Golden Globe Awards honour the best film and television productions in the United States in a given year. The 77th award ceremony was held on 5 January 2020 (Sunday) at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. The event was hosted by Ricky Gervais.

Even though Netflix and HBO were leading with the number of nominations scored, their productions were not the biggest winners of the night.

The biggest winners of the night were “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” “Joker” and “1917.”
