The music video, which seemingly paid homage to science fiction classic “2001: A Space Odyssey”, features Jisoo and Zayn in a sleek spacecraft while dressed in black: Jisoo in a sleek minidress, Zayn in a leather jacket and all-black ensemble. The duo showcases sweet harmony as they sing about falling in love with their “eyes closed” in spite of all the difficulties. Their elegance radiates through the futuristic set, elevating the romantic track to starry height, literally.
The single marks Jisoo’s first high-profile collaboration since her solo EP “Amortage” earlier this year. For Zayn, it’s another step in a solo path that’s included his 2024 album “Room Under the Stairs” and hits like “Stardust”.
This has been a busy year for both stars. Jisoo will soon resume touring with BLACKPINK on the Asian leg of their “Deadline” world tour – where “Eyes Closed” might get integrated into her solo performance set. Meanwhile, following his own tour, Zayn is diversifying: he’s set to co-star with Louis Tomlinson in a three-part Netflix road-trip documentary, chronicling personal journeys and reconnection.
