Who dominated the 2020s? Check out the artists with the most No. 1 hits on the Billboard #Hot100

The Billboard Hot 100 is the most important and prestigious music chart in the world. Every Monday, music industry enthusiasts eagerly await the weekly update. For a song to chart, three factors are taken into account: streams on digital platforms, the number of times the song was played on the radio, and sales, whether digital or physical.

Following the release of this week’s #Hot100, where Taylor Swift took the top spot with “I Knew It, I Knew You”, a track from the Toy Story 5 soundtrack, Billboard published an update on the number of times artists have reached number one on the chart.

On the released list, Taylor Swift takes the lead with 10 entries. Swift gained significant commercial momentum in 2020, particularly following the release of “folklore” and her re-recordings.

She is followed by Drake and Ariana Grande, both with 8 entries. Drake has been releasing hits for over 20 years and has remained a major force this decade. Grande released “Positions” and “Eternal Sunshine,” as well as the soundtrack for “Wicked.”

BTS has seven entries and ranks fourth on this list. Today, they have firmly established themselves as the biggest K-pop group and the biggest boy band of the 21st century. Thanks to the efforts of their fanbase, they have managed to make their mark on the U.S. charts, which were previously dominated by songs sung exclusively in English.

Kendrick Lamar, Morgan Wallen, and Olivia Rodrigo are tied for the same spot with four entries each. Lamar is regarded by critics as one of the greatest lyricists and rappers of all time, while Wallen is a sensation in the country music scene. Rodrigo took the world by storm in 2021 with one of the biggest debut singles in history: “drivers license”, followed by the release of her album “SOUR”.
