Vecna Launches Full-Scale Attacks in “Stranger Things” Season 5 Trailer

Netflix just dropped the long-awaited trailer for Stranger Things Season 5, and fans are already dissecting every frame. The three-minute preview promises a dark, emotional, and action-packed finale that pushes Hawkins — and its heroes — to the brink of destruction. See the trailer below!

Set in the fall of 1987, the trailer opens with a chilling glimpse of the Upside Down while red lightning splits the sky. Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) is back and seemingly stronger, his mangled body now fully regenerated. In one spine-tingling moment, he tells Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), “You are going to help me… one last time.” Fans online immediately went into meltdown, speculating that Will’s story might take a tragic turn.

Elsewhere, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and Hopper (David Harbour) team up to infiltrate a mysterious facility, presumably to hunt down Vecna. Eleven, who has regained her power, is displaying mightier than ever abilities — including catapulting herself into the air and releasing blood red force field energy across the Upside Down. There’s also a heartbreaking glimpse of Max (Sadie Sink) in a coma being rescued by Lucas from attacking demogorgons, and Mike (Finn Wolfhard) leading the pack for a final showdown that nostalgically  calls to mind his season 1 role leading a game of Dungeons and Dragons — the game that inspired it all.

Stranger Things Season 5 marks the end of an era for the global phenomenon. The final season will roll out in three parts starting November 26 (part 1), then December 25 (part 2), before concluding with series finale episode on December 31.
