Good news for Spidey fans! Holland will swing once again as the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Appearing on Good Morning America, the actor, known for spoiling details from the notoriously watertight MCU in the past, drops just enough to tease this time round.
“All I can tell you is that it’s happening. We are super close to having a creative, I think that is really worthy of the fans, but I think now we feel confident that the idea is strong enough that we can finally say that this is going ahead,” he says.
In another appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the English actor reveals that shooting is imminent on the much-awaited four-quel.
“Next summer we start shooting,” Holland tells Fallon. “Everything’s good to go. We’re nearly there. It’s super exciting; I can’t wait.”
Earlier, while appearing on The Rich Roll podcast, Holland gushed about the script on the new movie, which got him and girlfriend slash co-star Zendaya “bouncing around the living room.”
“We have a creative and a pitch and a draft which is excellent,” Holland says. “It needs work but the writers are doing a great job and I read it three weeks ago and it really lit a fire in me.”
The actor has been on a press tour to promote his brand new non-alcoholic beer brand BERO. But with shooting soon to be underway, it seems like as good a time as any to spill details on his most anticipated future project, follow-up to the $1.9 billion-grossing Spider-Man: No Way Home. The still untitled movie is set for a July 24, 2026 release.
