
HBO is taking The White Lotus to the French Riviera for its next chapter, with Season 4 set against the backdrop of the Cannes Film Festival and anchored by a newly announced ensemble cast.
Per official reports, the upcoming installment will feature a sprawling lineup that includes Helena Bonham Carter, Steve Coogan, Kumail Nanjiani, Max Greenfield and Vincent Cassel, alongside Sandra Bernhard, Chris Messina and Chloe Bennet. Additional cast members include rising names such as AJ Michalka and Alexander Ludwig, continuing the show’s tradition of mixing established and emerging talents.
Created by Mike White, the Emmy-winning anthology series follows a rotating group of wealthy guests and hotel staff over the course of a week at a luxury resort, where privilege, desire and dysfunction collide — often culminating in a mysterious death. Each season introduces a new setting and cast, with previous installments unfolding in Hawaii, Sicily and Thailand.
Season 4 shifts the action to Cannes, with the story unfolding during the famed film festival. Production is underway across locations including Cannes, Saint-Tropez and Monaco, with fictional White Lotus properties replacing real-life luxury hotels.
