Trailer for the fifth and final season of Prime Video’s The Boys just dropped – teasing a high stakes showdown between our ragtag band of antiheroes vs the tyrannical Homelander. The official trailer debuted at CCXP Brazil and immediately has fans buzzing with images of dystopian America under the iron fist of Homelander, as well as the exciting reunion of two beloved pop culture icons. See it below!
In the trailer, we see a grim new reality: Hughie, Mother’s Milk and Frenchie are locked up in a “Freedom Camp,” under Homelander’s absolute control. Meanwhile, Annie January (Starlight) leads a ragtag resistance, hoping to rally what’s left of the planet’s free will.
The tension spikes when Billy Butcher makes a dramatic return — now bent on deploying a virus capable of wiping out all Supes. Adding to the shock value is a surprise reunion: former Supernatural stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles appear together, hinting at a mysterious new alliance in the Supe-dominated chaos. It goes without saying that OG cast Karl Urban, Antony Starr, Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty along with other series stalwarts also return for one last time.
Since its 2019 debut, The Boys has grown into one of Prime Video’s flagship series — celebrated for its biting social commentary, graphic storytelling, and willingness to dismantle superhero tropes. Season 5 was always planned as the grand finale, giving showrunner Eric Kripke a clear roadmap for how the story ends.
With stakes this high — from mass incarceration to biological warfare — the trailer suggests the final season won’t hold back. Expect the show’s usual brand of chaos and violence enhanced tenfold, and a final battle that could finally answer the question: what happens when Supes win?
