A snippet of Look What You Make Me Do (Taylor’s Version) appears in a scene from the Hulu series’ latest episode, sending Swifties into frenzy.
The track played as June (Elisabeth Moss) and the other handmaids instigate a rebellion against Gilead, their totalitarian oppressor. Taylor’s haunting vocal blends well with the raging energy of the scene. The songstress’ brand new touch to the song can be heard here and there, infusing freshness to the 2017 track.
Anticipation for the re-recording of Taylor Swift’s Reputation album has been brewing for some time. After the massive successes of her previous Taylor’s Version re-recording, fans speculated that Reputation (Taylor’s Version) will be coming once The Eras Tour concluded. However, months go by since then and the singer-songwriter seemingly took a professional break to be with boyfriend Travis Kelce. The singer has also been laying low since her name got dragged into the legal drama between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. The very public fight led to Taylor being subpoenaed by Baldoni’s team. It reportedly strained her friendship with Lively and sent the Grammy winner into hiding mode.
But, Taylor’s hiding no more. The singer had started being seen publicly again shortly before the Look What You Make Me Do (TV) dropped. Speculations are rampant that the official announcement of the album release will drop any day now.
