On August 5, Taylor Swift announced that she’ll be bringing five opening acts for the London stops of her blockbuster Eras Tour.
Through Instagram story, the singer wrote:
“Just wanted to tell you about something coming up that I’ve been so excited about: we’re adding 5 incredible artists to our 5 Wembley shows, going on right before @paramore!!”
With it, she also tagged the five musicians who would be opening her Wembley stages alongside stalwart act Paramore. Sofia Isella will open for her August 15, followed by Holly Humberstone on August 16, Suki Waterhouse on August 17, Maisie Peters on August 19 and Raye on August 20.
“I asked them to play on this tour because I love their music and I think they’ll absolutely smash it in Wembley Stadium!! Go check out their music if you haven’t already. Gonna be a fun 5 nights!!!” Swift concluded.
The London stop marks the end of the tour’s summer-long EU and UK leg before heading back to North America. London was originally the last city in the previous schedule, but Swift has since added 15 new dates in Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis, and Toronto. Just like other Eras dates before them, the Wembley shows are expected to draw A-lister crowds in addition to the hundreds of thousands of UK Swifties. Previous stops have seen the likes of Tom Cruise, Roger Federer, Paul McCartney, Cara Delevingne and Prince William jamming on the stand to hits like “Shake It Off”, “Cruel Summer” and “Love Story”.
The Eras Tour is the highest grossing tour in history with over $1 billion in revenue (and counting). The 34 year-old diva, who began her career as a country musician, reportedly makes between $13-17 million per night off the tour. Her latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department” is currently ruling the chart, returning to No. 1 on Billboard for the 13th non-consecutive week.
