Jessica Pegula defeated Diana Shnaider 6-4, 6-2  in the fourth round of the US Open and advanced to the quarterfinals. Pegula took roughly one hour and a half to hold off Shnaider in a business-as-usual match between the two.

Jannik Sinner defeated Tommy Paul 7-6 (3), 7-6 (5), 6-1  in the fourth round of the US Open and advanced to the quarterfinals. Sinner took almost three hours to hold off Paul in a thrilling match between the two.

Coco Gauff was upset by fellow American Emma Navarro 3-6, 4-6, 3-6 in the fourth round of the US Open who won the match and advanced to the quarterfinals. Navarro took almost two hours to hold off Gauff in a thrilling match.

Aryna Sabalenka defeated Elise Mertens 6-2, 6-4  in the fourth round of the US Open and advanced to the quarterfinals. Sabalenka took roughly one hour and a half to hold off Mertens in a business-as-usual match.

On August 28, French tennis player Caroline Garcia shared a series of vile messages directed at her after she lost to Mexico’s Renata Zarazua at the US Open first-round match. 

Novak Djokovic was upset by Alexei Popyrin 4-6, 4-6, 6-2, 4-6  in the third round of the US Open who won the match and advanced to the fourth round. Popyrin took almost three hours to hold off Djokovic in a thrilling match.

Francis Tiafoe defeated Ben Shelton 4-6, 7-5, 6-7, 6-4, 6-3  in the third round of the US Open and advanced to the fourth round. Tiafoe took almost four hours to hold off Shelton in a  thrilling and exciting match that went the distance.

Emma Navarro defeated Marta Kostyuk 6-4, 4-6, 6-3  in the third round of the US Open and advanced to the fourth round. Navarro took almost two hours to hold off Kostyuk in a difficult and thrilling match.
