Now that Taylor Swift has been granted the permission from Scooter Braun and the Big Machine Records to perform her old hits at the upcoming American Music Awards, she is planning to do something truly epic.
The official nominations to the 2020 Grammy Awards were announced on 20 November (Wednesday). Prior to the announcement, there were some leaks at the official Grammy Awards website indicating who would be considered for upcoming awards… And they turned out to be true!
aylor Swift released the full version of “Beautiful Ghosts” from the upcoming “Cats” movie on 15 November (Friday). The track will be featured in the film and it was co-written with composer Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Taylor Swift is currently battling for the right to use her old music during live performances. Several months ago, it was announced that Taylor’s master records (in other words – all the songs from her first six albums) were purchased by manager Scooter Braun. The manager bought Taylor’s former recording company – Big Machine – for $300 million.
The official nominations to the 2019 American Music Awards were announced on 24 October (Thursday). This year’s show will be hosted by American actress Tracee Ellis Ross and held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
Taylor Swift will perform at the Alibaba’s 11.11 Countdown Gala held at the Shanghai’s Mercedes Benz Arena next month. Even though the full list of performers has not been released yet, the singer will be joined by G.E.M., Hua Chenyu, Kana Hanazawa, Ju Jingyi, Li Ronghao, Luo Yunxi, Jackson Yee, Zhang Jie and Zhang Yixing.
