Hollywood has two more billion-dollar blockbusters. Sony and Marvel’s “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” has reached approximately $1.67 billion worldwide after just 10 days, while Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” has sailed past $1.1 billion in its fourth weekend. The back-to-back milestones have given the 2026 box office a remarkable summer surge.

Opening to a staggering $932 million worldwide, including $360 million in North America, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" has crawled to a historic level – giving Sony and Marvel Studios the second-biggest global opening weekend in box office history behind only Avengers: Endgame. The debut also stands as the largest launch ever in the US and gave married stars Tom Holland and Zendaya back-to-back blockbuster hits after The Odyssey earlier this summer.

Ahead of its July release, Sony and Marvel’s “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” has dropped its latest trailer. With it, the fourquel finally introduces The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) into the webslinger’s story as the character – played by Tom Holland – deals with a mysterious condition affecting his power.
