On Sunday, the Spaniard was honored at Roland Garros in an emotionally-charged farewell. Throughout his illustrious career, the Spaniard won a record 14 titles at the clay-court grand slam.

After over two decades of unparalleled career, tennis legend Rafael Nadal has finally played his last match. The Spaniard formally bid adios to professional tennis in Davis Cup, which was aptly held at his home country Spain. 

Rafael Nadal, one of the all-time greats of men’s tennis, is hanging his racket for good. Through a video announcement posted to his social media, the Spanish player has announced his decision to retire from professional tennis.
