Disney has officially cast Teagan Croft and Milo Manheim in the lead roles of its long-gestating live-action adaptation of Tangled, the studio announced this week. Croft — known for her work as Raven in Titans and her portrayal of Jessica Watson in True Spirit — will star as Rapunzel, while Manheim — a familiar face from Disney Channel’s Zombies franchise — takes on the charming thief Flynn Rider. 

Disney’s highly anticipated sequel Zootopia 2 has roared onto the global box office scene — pulling in an estimated $556.4 million worldwide over its opening weekend, making it one of the biggest animated film debuts ever.

Disney has unveiled the first trailer for its live-action adaptation of Moana, introducing newcomer Catherine Laga’aia in the title role and confirming Dwayne Johnson’s return as the demigod Maui, a character he originally voiced in the 2016 animated hit.

The sequel to the 2003 teen hit Freaky Friday is almost here. Bringing back Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis to reprise their roles, the Disney film will revolve around a switch-up hijinks ahead of the upcoming wedding of Anna (Lohan) instead. 

Disney’s TV movie juggernaut Descendants is prepping for its fifth installment, adding children of iconic Disney characters from Robin Hood, The Princess and the Frog, and Peter Pan to its expansive fairytale world. The film will be a direct sequel to 2024’s Descendants: The Rise of Red, itself a spinoff of the original trilogy starring Dove Cameron, Sofia Carson, and Cameron Boyce. 

In the follow-up to 2015’s Oscar®-winning “Inside Out,” Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust—who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts—aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety, Envy, Ennui and Embarrassment show up.
