David Beckham added another honor to a career filled with trophies and accolades on Thursday, receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in a ceremony attended by his wife Victoria Beckham and three of their four children. Missing from the celebration, however, were eldest son Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham, whose ongoing estrangement from the family has remained a frequent tabloid fodder over the past year.

In the wake of son Brooklyn’s bombshell Instastories takedown, world famous footballer David Beckham and his wife, former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, have chosen the “don’t explain, don’t complain” route to deal with the public fallout of Brooklyn’s bullying claims. In their first ever social media activity since the accusations dropped last week, the couple both made heartfelt comments on a nostalgic family photograph posted by British photographer Platon. 

On Saturday, May 3, English football legend David Beckham held a star-studded bash celebrating his 50th birthday in London. The celebration at Notting Hill’s posh 3-Michelin starred restaurant Core saw A-list attendances from famous friends of David and wife Victoria Beckham. Nonetheless, two notable absences stuck out: eldest son Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz-Beckham once again missed out on the family affair amid reported tiff with Romeo.
