Universal and Illumination’s The Super Mario Galaxy Movie just delivered the biggest opening of 2026 to date, blasting off at the global box office with a $372.5 million debut. Starring Chris Pratt and Jack Black, the sequel’s success reaffirms video game adaptations’ dominance on the big screen.

The first official stills from Avengers: Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo’s next film, “The Electric State” have been released. Released exclusively for Vanity Fair, first images from the Netflix original movie show stars Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt embodying their characters, an unlikely tandem who traverses a post-apocalyptic wasteland where robots and humans co-exist.
