Stray Kids Breaks Record As First Artists in History to Top Billboard 200 Eight Times in a Row

K-Pop group Stray Kids have done what no artist has ever done before: their latest album DO IT debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, extending their perfect run to eight consecutive chart-topping albums. This landmark achievement cements them as the first act in the seven-decade history of the chart to debut their first eight entries at the summit.

With “DO IT,” Stray Kids joined the elite ranks of artists who’ve dominated the album charts — but in a way no one else has. Since their first Billboard 200 No. 1 with ODDINARY in March 2022, every subsequent release — MAXIDENT, 5‑STAR, ROCK‑STAR, ATE, HOP, KARMA, and now “DO IT” — has debuted at No. 1, each time reflecting both strong physical sales and growing streaming numbers. The new album reportedly moved 295,000 equivalent album units in its first week, with 286,000 from pure album sales alone. This streak doesn’t just make them the most successful K-pop group in terms of Billboard 200 chart peaks — it arguably makes them one of the most consistently dominant groups globally across any genre in the modern chart era.

The group’s commercial reign isn’t limited to album sales. This year, Stray Kids have just wrapped up their record-breaking DOMINATE world tour. The 8-member band is also set to headline Rock In Rio next year, becoming the first K-Pop artists to do so in the iconic festival’s 40-year history.

Fans know Stray Kids for high-energy songs like God’s Menu — widely viewed as a turning point for their global popularity — along with tracks such as “Back Door”, “Thunderous” and “CHK CHK BOOM”. The group’s self-produced style and in-house writing team, 3RACHA, have helped cement their identity as both artists and architects of their own sound.
