Stars Come Out to Support Blake Lively in Her Sexual Harassment Claim Against Justin Baldoni

In the wake of Blake Lively’s legal complaint accusing It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni of sexual harassment and smear campaign, the actress has received a barrage of support from her peers.
Colleen Hoover, the author of the bestselling novel which the film was based on, rallied behind Lively, writing on Instagram: “You have been nothing but honest, kind, supportive and patient since the day we met. Thank you for being exactly the human that you are. Never change. Never wilt.” She also posted a link to the New York Times article that first reported Lively’s bombshell filing against Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios.
Lively’s It Ends With Us co-stars also voiced their support.
Calling Lively “a leader”, “loyal friend” and “trusted source of emotional support,” actress Jenny Slate – who played Allysa in the movie – wrote in a statement: “As Blake Lively’s castmate and friend, I voice my support as she takes action against those reported to have planned and carried out an attack on her reputation.”
Fellow co-star Brandon Sklenar, who played Lively’s love interest Atlas, shared the New York Times post on his Instagram story and tagged Lively in it.
“For the love of God read this,” he wrote.
In a joint statement, Lively’s Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants co-stars – America Ferrera, Alexis Bledel, and Amber Tamblyn – declared their support for the actress.
“Throughout the filming of It Ends With Us, we saw her summon the courage to ask for a safe workplace for herself and colleagues on set, and we are appalled to read the evidence of a premeditated and vindictive effort that ensued to discredit her voice,” the statement read. “We are struck by the reality that even if a woman is as strong, celebrated, and resourced as our friend Blake, she can face forceful retaliation for daring to ask for a safe working environment.”
The statement ended with a plea to read the same Times article, written by Megan Twohey, Mike McIntire, and Julie Tate.
The wave of online support continued across Hollywood.
Amy Schumer wrote on Instagram story “I believe Blake”, while Lively’s A Simple Favor director Paul Feig took to X to praise Lively’s work ethic before adding that “she truly did not deserve any of this smear campaign against her.” Shawn Levy, who directed Lively’s husband Ryan Reynolds on Deadpool and Wolverine, also shared the article, saying he’s “proud to call (Lively) a friend.”
