It’s official! Selena Gomez is engaged to Benny Blanco, with whom she’s been dating since 2023.
On a heartfelt Instagram post, the “Who Says” singer posted a carousel of photos announcing the engagement, including a close-up shot of her Marquise diamond ring and intimate pic of her cuddling up with her now-fiance.
In the caption, the 31-year-old wrote, “Forever begins now…”
Under the post, Blanco left a comment echoing the excitement: “Hey wait… that’s my wife.”
The pair first met when they worked on the 2019 single “I Can’t Get Enough” with Tainy and J Balvin. Rumor of their romance started brewing in June last year and by December, the Rare Beauty founder confirmed that they were dating, noting that “(Blanco) is my absolute everything in my heart” on one fan post. The couple made their first public outing at the 2024 Emmy Awards in January 2024.
In an interview with Apple Music, Gomez went on to gush on her new beau, saying that it’s the safest relationship she feels and that Blanco “understands the world that I live in.”
It looks like Gomez’s famous pal also approves of the upcoming nuptial. Commenting under her engagement post is none other than Taylor Swift herself, who promised: “Yes, I will be the flower girl.”
