Scooter Braun, also known as Justin Bieber’s manager, has acquired Scott Borchetta’s Big Machine Label Group for $300 million. The terms and conditions of the purchase have not been fully disclosed, however, it is known that Scooter Braun is the owner of Taylor Swift’s master records now.
Taylor – who left Big Machine last year – expressed her disappointment with the situation. She signed with Universal Music Group last year. UMG – unlike Big Machine – allows her to own all of her future work.
Even though Taylor knew her master records would end up in someone else’s hands, she admitted that Scooter’s owning her master records is her worst nightmare and worst case scenario.
It is common knowledge that Taylor Swift is not a fan of Scooter Braun. Taylor previously alleged that Scooter bullied her through his clients (Justin Bieber and Kanye West) and leaked sensitive information about her.
Justin Bieber responded to Taylor’s accusations via his Instagram. Read his emotional post below.
