Rise to Fame: Harry Styles

1.5kviews

Harry Styles is a world-known musician and actor right now, but have you ever wondered how he rose to such prominence?

Harry was interested in music since he was a child. In 2010, he auditioned as a solo contestant for the seventh edition of “The X Factor.” He failed to advance in the “Boys” category, however, he was brought back with four other boys (Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson) to form a boy band. That is how One Direction was born. The group quickly gained popularity in the United Kingdom and finished the competition in third place.

One Direction released their debut album “Up All Night” on 18 November 2011. The album was a huge commercial success worldwide and topped numerous charts for a long time! Four further albums followed – “Take Me Home,” “Midnight Memories,” “Four” and “Made in the A.M.” One Direction became a worldwide phenomenon.

Following the hiatus of the band, Harry signed a recording deal with the Columbia Records. He released two albums – “Harry Styles” and “Fine Line.” Both of them found recognition worldwide and topped album charts for weeks.

Harry also made his debut on the screen in 2017 with the role of Alex in the war film “Dunkirk.”

The singer’s world tour has been put on hold due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, but with so many successful projects, Harry has a bright future ahead of him!
