Rise to Fame: Halsey

968views

Halsey is an American singer and songwriter recognized for her distinctive singing voice. With three successful studio albums charting high in the whole world, have you ever wondered how she rose to such prominence?

Halsey started writing music at the age of 17. In 2012, she began posting videos on social media sites such as YouTube. She first gained recognition with the parody of Taylor Swift’s song “I Knew You Were Trouble.” In 2014, she met a music guy and released “Ghost,” a song which promptly gained online popularity. This led to the recording deal with Astralwerks.

Halsey released her debut EP “Room 93” on 27 October 2014, however, the record did not chart well. Her breakthrough came with the release of her debut album “Badlands” on 28 August 2015, which peaked at no. 2 at the US Billboard 200. The debut record was promoted by four singles, but only two of them (“Colors” and “Castle”) performed well on the charts.

The singer released two more albums – “Hopeless Fountain Kingdom” (2017) and “Manic” (2020). Both of them received critical acclaim and were a commercial success worldwide. “Without Me,” a single released to promote the singer’s third album, turned out to be Halsey’s biggest hit ever. The song topped the US Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks and remained in Top 5 for 22 weeks!

With successful albums, singles and worldwide tours, Halsey will continue to be a relevant artist in the music industry for years to come.
